About Us

Loud Voice Society is an Indigenous-led organization on the North Shore of Kamloops, BC, supporting recovery, dignity, and community reintegration for individuals impacted by substance use.

Our work is trauma-informed, evidence-informed, and grounded in decolonized, Indigenous worldviews. We understand that substance use does not occur in isolation — it is connected to mental health, housing instability, systemic inequities, and the ongoing impacts of colonialism and historical trauma. Recovery is not only about abstinence; it is about restoring dignity, identity, cultural connection, and belonging.

 Our model offers a structured, substance-free home where stability and accountability take root. Through clear expectations, daily routine, and shared responsibility, residents rebuild practical life skills and confidence. As recovery strengthens, individuals are encouraged to step into leadership and mentorship roles, transforming personal growth into lasting purpose and community impact.

We operate on the unceded traditional territory of Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc and honour the Secwépemc people as the original stewards of this land. For us, reconciliation is operational — reflected in how we design, deliver, and evaluate our services every day.
